At the 2014 WK, the Netherlands' unbeaten streak began. After losing the WK-final in 2010, the Netherlands lost in the final against Argentina in 2014, but it only counted in international points. In 2022, they lost again against Argentina.
In the tournament, the Netherlands are on a 14-match unbeaten run, extending their streak so far.

This is yet another record for the Netherlands, who are without a win in 18 group matches. In 1994, and finally on 25 June 1994, the Netherlands lost the match 1–0. It's the lead for Brazil, who are 18 matches without a win.
