CONFIRMED: Real Madrid new squad member Bernardo Silva to fight against Congo
Real Madrid's new squad member Bernardo Silva has been named in the starting line-up for the World Cup match against DR Congo, with plans to support Cristiano Ronaldo.

Today, Real Madrid announced the signing of former Manchester City captain Bernardo Silva on a free transfer. The 31-year-old striker has signed a two-year contract until the summer of 2028 after his contract at the Etihad Stadium expired. Following the announcement of his joining Real Madrid, Bernardo has been named in the starting line-up for the 2026 World Cup match against DR Congo. This versatile player works on the right side of the field for the Seleccao, where he plans to provide key support for Real Madrid legend and global superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
