The Czech Republic lost 1-2 to South Korea in Group A of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. In the 59th minute, Czech defender Latichlov Krejci scored the first goal with a header. It was significant for the Czech Republic as it was their first World Cup goal in 20 years. On 12 June 2006, the Czech Republic won the World Cup 2006 against the United States 3–0. There were two goals in that match by Yann Koller and Thomas Rositzki. The 2026 World Cup will be held from June 11 to July 19 in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The Czech team's next match is on June 18 when they face South Africa.
