Pisacane: "He has shown only 60%. Can improve more"
Pisacane, coach of the Cagliari team, has been awarded the 'Brillia d'Oro'. He also talked about the renewed contract and youngster Balestra.
Fabio Pisacane, coach of Cagliari, has renewed his contract until 2028. He received the 'Brillia d'Oro' award in Siena. "He led Cagliari to a consistent defense with his energy. Along with his technical skills, he has shown an uncanny ability in humanity," the award statement said. The 33rd annual award will be presented in Siena on 12 June as the Pisacane Cochlear Practitioner Award.
Previous winners of this award include: Nicola, Baroni, Calzona, Sacchi, Tudor, Dionisi, Simplici, Ballardini, Ranieri, Di Francesco, Pioli, Semon, Mondella, Alegre, Rossi, Ventura, Gasperini, Cucchuretu, Barretta, Ulivieri, Spalletti and Papadopoulos.
After the award show, he also spoke about his contract with Caglieri: "We can provide a continuous path. There are many problems in football and Caglieri is the key now".

He said of Palestra: "What I say to Palestra is that he has done less in the past, but always has to improve. He has attracted the attention of other clubs with his performances, but he has to perform well from the start".
"He has only shown 60%; I am only saying this based on what I have seen in training. He can still improve, especially in certain aspects. A footballer always needs to improve," he added.
The reason for this is the doubt that these words will mean much to his players.
