Albert Riera's journey at Eintracht Frankfurt ended in three months. Now, the Spanish coach told Slovenian TV channel Sportklub, "We didn't fit each other. I was in the wrong place, at the wrong time." For the new season, Austrian Adi Hutter replaces Riera as coach of Eintracht. Riera has praised Milan's recent interest in director Marcus Croce, but has been vocal in his criticism of the club's ethos. And, "wherever I was, I discovered that I couldn't bring players of such height to the flank," Riera said. "The policy of the club is that the coach has no freedom over the research and organization of the team," he said. "I knew I couldn't be in a situation like this and we couldn't work with someone for a long time," Riera said.
