Czech Republic scored in World Cup after 20 years
It was the first World Cup goal in 20 years by the Czech Republic, but they lost 1-2 against South Korea.


The Czech Republic lost 1-2 to South Korea in Group A of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. In the 59th minute, Czech defender Latichlov Krejci scored the first goal with a header. It was significant for the Czech Republic as it was their first World Cup goal in 20 years. On 12 June 2006, the Czech team won the World Cup 2006 against the USA 3–0. Yann Koller and Thomas Rositzky had two goals in that match. The 2026 World Cup will be held from June 11 to July 19 in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The Czech team's next match is on June 18 when they face South Africa.
