He has 4 wins, 5 draws and 5 losses in just 14 matches in Frankfurt. Riera's main problem is that his work has changed analytically too often as lower teams play similar styles.
"Teams play in the same style at lower levels. When you visit them, you feel like you're playing against the same opponent every week."
He described his comments as "so much disappointment." He finished by saying. 9 of Riera's 14 Bundesliga matches were against lower-tier teams. He won only 3 of them. It is clear that during Riera's time in Frankfurt, he was less adept at winning in front of lower-tier teams, while lower-tier teams tend to adopt similar defensive tactics, especially against teams challenging for European competition.
Ultimately, Frankfurt finished 8th in the Bundesliga, missing out on European competition for the following season.
