France's teammate Kylian Mbappé expressed his dissatisfaction with the ground conditions during their 3-0 win over Iraq in the 2026 World Cup 2nd round match.
"What caused my irritations? Our attacking area was full of water. We changed the ground after 20 minutes in the safe area, but our attacking area was completely neglected. I wanted both areas to be equally prepared. But it's not their fault, not a big deal," said Mbappe.
In the end, France won 3-0 after the restart. Mbappe scored two goals.
