Real Madrid have signed Bernardo Silva to boost their creativity in the midfield this summer as they strengthen the defense in their squad construction for next season. With Arda Guler, Jude Bellingham and Brahim Diaz, the competition for the attacking midfield position has become more intense. In this context, it became difficult for young midfield talent Nico Bass to get an immediate starting spot.

Given this situation, Nico Bass has now decided that the best course of action for his development is to continue another year at Como. Following this, Real Madrid activated the €9 million buyback clause in his contract this summer and then sold him back to Como for €60 million. Madrid also hold a €80 million unilateral buyback right for next season. Como accepted this proposal; Real Madrid have officially announced the deal.

According to MARCA, the day before the transfer was announced, Nico Paz posted a message on social media explaining his position: After weeks of thinking, the best option for his career now is to stay another year in Como; He said it was a unique opportunity to continue playing in the club that nurtured him and prepare better for the future. He also noted that it was the right decision for his development and for Real Madrid.
