No Arsenal, Anfield target: Liverpool bid for 17-year-old Bardishvili

Liverpool have submitted a proposal to sign 17-year-old Georgia talent Andrea Bardishvili as a future investment in midfield, according to reports. Arsenal are also in the running for the same player; Both the teams are said to hold proposals on similar terms.

Liverpool completed their first transfer of the summer window last week, signing winger Victor Munoz from Osasuna for €40m. Subsequently, the club is also active in recruiting young talent that fits into the team's long-term plan.

Andrea Bardishvili is currently a player of the Colgate 1913 club; Now playing on loan at FC Iberia 1999. Playing as a center forward, he was named the 2025 Georgia Under-17 Player of the Year. His ability to penetrate from the left flank, low center height, close ball control and direct dribble have drawn comparisons to Gwisa Kvaratchkellia at home. He has already made his mark in the top domestic league and recently made his debut for the Georgia Under-21 national team.


The young star's current contracts are said to expire at the end of 2026. Bardishvili is not at the tournament in North America as Georgia has not qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup; But in the European arena, eyes are still on him.

Paris FC have entered the transfer race with a different proposition — they are said to be willing to give him immediate senior-team time in the new season. This aspect could decide the outcome as neither Liverpool nor Arsenal can provide guaranteed minutes from the start.
