Bajr Zebasi has turned around in Iran Pro League in a short span of time. The club changed their head coach after a bitter 1-6 defeat to Sepahan after stumbling to just one win at the end of the seventh week of the season opener. Led by Mehdi Rajabzadeh, who replaced Rasool Khatibi, the team bounced back straight away and moved into the top half of the table with back-to-back wins over Aluminum Arak and Baikon. Currently in eighth place with 13 points, Rajapzadeh said systematic improvement in the field and organization is needed to improve the team's position.

Speaking on Varjesh3 Live, Rajapzadeh began, "The quality of Bajr Zebasi should be higher than this; we are working on a plan to achieve that." On the manner in which the change took place, he said, "Such divisions are normal in professional football. After the change, the players, the team and the state administration all responded well." Unfazed by former coach Rasool Khatibi's sarcasm, he managed, "He was always respectful; maybe he got emotional at times. I'm satisfied, there's nothing wrong with him."

Rajabzadeh also shared his background in becoming a coach at the end of his playing career. After emerging at Bajr Zebasi, Baz received calls from several teams including capital clubs such as Tehran, Sabah Qom, Esteghlal and Persepolis, but he ultimately chose Sob Ahan. Later deciding not to take on the role of 'player-coach', Qashqai took over the captaincy of the team after completing professional coaching courses; After that, Bajr Zebazi's organization attracted him and he is now in this role in the Pro League. He categorically rejected the allegation of “appointment by connections” and said “the allegation of use of background connections is baseless”.

Regarding the team's philosophy, Rajapzadeh emphasized, "We are working towards improving day by day and becoming a strong opponent. We will strengthen the team by adding young players."

Importantly, he clarified the Alireza Bairanwant issue. Recalling that the Bajr Zebasi management had said earlier that "Beyranwant is our player; only the date has not been established", Rajapzadeh said, "There will be a consultation meeting with the club in two-three days. We will take a decision that is in the interest of the club." He also mentioned that he had never directly spoken to Beyranwandt. With Beirwandt's desire to stay in Tehran and rumors surrounding Nirouye Samini rife, Rajapzadeh continued the balancing act, saying, "Beyranwand is a nominee for Asia's Player of the Year; I wish him the best. The next steps are after the club consultation first."

After the heavy loss to Sepahan, Bajr Zebasi showed a sudden turnaround and picked up full points in two consecutive matches to regain confidence. While Rajapsade's plan needs time and connections to take off, the current run is seen as a good sign for fans. Whatever the final result in the Bairanwant Cup, the conversation suggests that Rajabzadeh's first goal is to become a team with control and clarity at the Bajr Zebazi Stadium.

What happens next

Bajr Zebasi will try to achieve more wins in the next match and compete with the teams above. Rajabzadeh has implemented plans to improve the team's position and aims to move up in the Iran Pro League. If the team's success continues, it has a chance to reach the top spots by the end of the season.
